6-Natural Steps for People with Asthma -Healing by Design

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 25 million Americans have asthma. Asthma is a condition that causes the airways to become narrow, swell, and produce a significant amount of mucus, leading to difficulty breathing, coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. This disease can be scary and affect your day-to-day life drastically. In this article, we want to bring more clarity on the causes of this wide-spread condition and discuss the natural lifestyle changes you can make to help alleviate symptoms and hopefully overcome it. Our goal is for people to be healthy and get back to enjoying life entirely without restrictions.

Asthma attacks occur when the muscles around the airways tighten and constrict airflow and oxygen to the lungs. Although no one knows exactly what causes asthma, it is strongly believed that almost all asthma is tied to an infection in the lungs, and this is what causes the attacks to occur. Exposure to certain chemicals, molds, bacteria, parasites, fungi, and other toxins play a significant role in developing or triggering asthma.

Below is the 6-Step Asthma Protocol we've developed after helping many people overcome asthma without medication so they can regain their freedom and live without fear of another attack.

1. CHANGE YOUR DIET. The focus on overcoming asthma should always be to eliminate infections in the body. The first way to do this is through diet. It is essential to follow a diet that works to combat these infections, inflammation, and allergies while helping to support your digestive system and your body’s natural detoxification pathways. Our clients have had great success by doing The Body Ecology Diet for a significant period of time to eliminate the infections.

Certain foods are almost always tied to asthma, so here are a few nutrition guidelines to help heal the body without feeding the infections that cause asthma.

Foods to avoid:

  • Dairy

  • Sugars

  • Starches

  • Carbs

Foods to eat:

  • Nonstarchy vegetables

  • Warm, cooked foods

  • Hot herbal teas to relax the bronchial

2. OXYGENATE THE BLOOD. The body was created to move, and movement is the best way to open up breathing pathways, increase oxygen, remove mucus, and pump blood through your entire body. However, we know exercise can be a scary thing if you have asthma attacks, so we encourage you to take it slow. Regular walking, biking, Pilates, and restorative yoga are all great ways to get oxygen moving while not overdoing it in the beginning. Along with exercise, taking supplements that promote oxygen in the blood can be helpful.

Product recommendations:

  1. BioMolecular Oxygen by CellCore - These drops promote the body's ability to rid itself of biotoxins and the absorption of free radicals. Unlike normal oxygen, it does not dissipate, allowing us to overcome one of the biggest challenges in delivering sufficient oxygen to the body.

3. HYDRATE. When you are dehydrated, everything in your body constricts, like a cactus trying to hold onto valuable water. This includes your blood vessels. When your blood vessels are working correctly, it is easier for the blood to deliver nutrients and oxygen to the rest of the body. Don't forget, water molecules are made of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. This is why water is essential for breathing and how water helps moisten oxygen for breath.

We encourage adding minerals to your water for added hydration because minerals increase absorption (lemons and limes also work well).

Mineral recommendations:

  1. Celtic Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt - Add ¼ teaspoon of quality sea salt to a glass of water once or twice a day.

  2. Crystal Stones for Sole by Symphony Natural Health  - Himalayan salt stones soaked overnight in water can supply the body with the combined energy of 84 essential ionized minerals.

4. CLEANSE LUNGS & OPEN LUNG CAPACITY. If you have asthma or other health conditions that cause breathing difficulties, there is usually an infection or toxin that is causing the body to produce mucus. Lung cleansing techniques can help dislodge mucus and other toxins from the lungs and airways. For the most part, our lungs are self-cleaning organs, but there are certain things you can do to help them function at an optimal level.

Products that cleanse the lungs and open lung capacity:

  1. OregaRESP by North American Herb & Spice  - This is a multiple spice extract made with handpicked spices from remote mountain regions. This product delivers ultra-potent support for the immune and respiratory system.

  2. Clear Lungs Extra Strength by RidgeCrest – Helps to relieve lung congestion.

  3. Serious Cough and Deep Lung by WishGarden - Soothes tired throats‚ calms coughs‚ and supports lung health.

  4. Detox Clay Powder by Living Clay  - Use to bind allergens and keep lungs clear of extra contaminants.

  5. Enemas - Use enemas to assist the body in removing toxins (add coffee, lemon, sea salt, or baking soda).

Products that help remove infections from the lungs:

  1. OregaBiotic by North American Herb & Spice - Vital minerals, nutrients, and phenolic compounds contained in the wild spice oil blend are delivered to the colon and lower bowels.

  2. OregaRESP by North American Herb & Spice - This product delivers ultra-potent support for the immune and respiratory system. These herbs work to kill infections and open breathing passages at the same time.

  3. Microbe & Parasite Cleanse by Spirit of Health - Our Spirit of Health Microbe & Parasite Cleanse is a 21-day cleanse that targets a variety of infectious organisms, including parasites, yeast, mold, mycotoxins, candida, and more.

  4. 3- Part & 7- Part Parasite Cleanses by Dr. Hulda Clark  - Supports the body's natural defenses with compounds that discourage foreign organisms known to occupy the human body, bringing about a balance between the body and microorganisms.

  5. Para 1, Para 2, & Para 3 by CellCore  - Immune boosting and digestive support for the whole body.

5. BOOST YOUR ADRENALS. Adrenals produce natural steroids. Steroids commonly prescribed for asthma and allergies cause insufficiency to the adrenal glands. Adrenal insufficiency can be dangerous, especially if the person's body has to cope with stress like surgery, injury, or a severe illness. Additionally, those who suffer from GERD (acid reflux) may experience acid flow, which causes damage to the lining of the throat, airways, and lungs.

Adrenal supplement recommendations:

  1. Adrenal Fatigue Fighter by RidgeCrest  - Strengthens and supports adrenal function and energy.

  2. Crystal Stones for Sole by Symphony Natural Health  - The adrenals need sufficient minerals and hydration to function properly. The Sole water can supply the body with the combined energy of 84 essential ionized minerals. You can do the same technique by adding ¼ teaspoon of quality sea salt to a glass of water once or twice a day.

  3. Energy Boost 70 by Morningstar Minerals - This formula is rich in minerals, vitamins, elements & amino acids in a pH balanced state; it provides superior absorption into the bloodstream. Take 2-4 ounces daily.

6. GET IN THE SUN. From animals to plants to humans, we all need the sun! The more light we absorb, the healthier our bodies are, and the stronger our immune system becomes. The sun helps our bodies natural detoxification processes, and the vitamin d that we get from the sun helps our body absorb vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. If you want to get the most from the food you eat and the supplements you take, get in the sunshine.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AN ASTHMA ATTACK.

1. Mineral water - Add ¼ teaspoon of quality sea salt, Himalayan salt, or Sole concentrate to a glass of filtered water and drink slowly.

2. Lobelia - Known for its antispasmodic actions on the upper respiratory tract and for its ability to provide symptomatic relief. Spray under the tongue one or more times daily. Hold for 30 seconds before swallowing. This can also be used during an attack.
